So it’s November already and most of the trees in Atlanta still are looking very green. To be honest, I was getting a little concerned that they weren’t going to change colors. Which would be sad, because I love fall colors.
Yesterday, I went up to north Georgia with some people from church to go rock climbing. And behold the happy sight:
This evening, I went to a discussion about the current situation in Venezuela. It was really interesting and informative. But, instead of lecturing you about the really bad political situation there, I will share the most entertaining moment:
During the discussion, someone, as part of their comment, said, “I’m like a tree. My roots are in Venezuela, and my tail and sleeves are in the US.” WHAT? You’re a tree? With a tail?? And sleeves??? I think someone’s simile got a little confused…
A List Apart just published the results of their 2007 Web Design survey. In it, they surveyed almost 33,000 web professionals. A few things I found interesting…
16.3% of respondents were female. (~5350)
About 25% of respondents were web developers (~8300)
Of those 8300 web developers, only 7.2% were female… leaving us with slightly under 600 female web developers. Of all the web professions surveyed, web developers have the smallest percentage of women. So based on this survey, less than 1% of people in web professions are female web developers.
As most of you who know me already know, I’m kind of weird… but I guess this survey just confirms that. =)

For those of you not from Michigan, Michigan’s weather is… crazy. Despite the fact that the forecasted high for GR for tomorrow is 85°, the forecasted high for Tuesday (two days later) is 61°.
Atlanta’s forecast for tomorrow is 86°. The forecast for Tuesday is also 86°.
