Los jardines
(the gardens, that is)
Even though the temperature reached well into the 90s (it must have, I was certainly sweltering…), Ryder and I ventured outside on a sunny Saturday to explore the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, which currently have a really cool “sculpture in motion” exhibit throughout the gardens. Most of the sculptures were moved by the breeze, some by human force, and one, by sound! The gardens also had, as you might expect, lots of pretty flowers. So, of course, we took lots of pictures.
With Friends, in Chattanooga
A few (or six) weeks ago, Brian, Anna, Dave, and Cherith made the trek down from Michigan to visit the lovely homes of Natalie and myself. Between the three of us sporting Canon DSLRs, we managed to take 0 pictures in Atlanta (I think), and probably 600 in Chattanooga. Why? Who knows. I guess Chatty is prettier than Atlanta. Anyway: here are the pictures from Chattanooga.
coming soon: time lapse video of a dandelion’s life cycle. you’re excited, I know.
the Smokies
Ryder and I went to Knoxville. One day, we went hiking in the Smokies. And that was pretty much all I took pictures of the whole weekend. But it was nature! and a waterfall! and lots of butterflies. see all the pictures (okay, not really all. I didn’t post many of the water pictures because, well, after a while, all the pictures of water flowing and rushing over the rocks all start to look the same.)
The Georgia Renaissance Festival
Julie, Kate, Anna, and I spent a lovely Saturday morning looking at people in funny costumes. And eating turkey legs. Good times were had by all!
