Christmas Review, part 1

I’m sorry, dear people who read my blog (all two of you). You’ve been sorely neglected. To make up for it, I present a Christmas Review, in parts!

First up, a set of (homemade) Christmas ornaments for my Dad:

Christmas Ornament
Ingredients: styrofoam ball, Christmassy fabrics, ribbon

Dad models his new ornaments
Dad proudly models his new ornaments. I’m sure they’ll look equally nice on our tree.

Spellcheck

When I type my last name, it comes up as a spelling error. No big surprise there. However:

Suggested correction: “brontosaur”

Maybe I should change my last name.

Happy (almost) Halloween!

A few weeks ago, my mom reminded me that I had some Halloween decorations here with me in Atlanta. So after pulling half the boxes out of the crawlspace in my bedroom, I found the bag containing the Halloween “puppets” I made in clay class sometime in elementary school. Say hello…

Then my dear friend Annalise came to visit while she was in town for a work conference. Visiting another mutual friend, we got to carve a pumpkin! Carving pumpkins is probably my favorite Halloween activity, besides eating candy corn, of course.

art weekend

A few weekends ago, my parents flew up from Houston to visit (aren’t their arms sore? ha ha ha…) It was my dad’s birthday a few weeks before that, so I made him a shirt (well, not the shirt, but I decorated it):

Sunday evening was Expressions, an art show at my church. I had a few clocks in the show. It was a really fun evening with some amazing musical performances and lots of artwork which will be in the sanctuary for another couple of weeks.

Anna’s Surprise Birthday Party

A few weeks ago, Ryder and I threw a surprise birthday party for our friend Anna. She was completely surprised and jumped about a foot in the air when twenty people yelled “surprise” from her loft.
