{"id":104,"date":"2006-11-05T23:54:00","date_gmt":"2006-11-05T23:54:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.emilywinck.com\/blog\/?p=104"},"modified":"2006-11-05T23:54:00","modified_gmt":"2006-11-05T23:54:00","slug":"i-wonder-what-god-is-up-to","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.emilywinck.com\/blog\/i-wonder-what-god-is-up-to\/","title":{"rendered":"I wonder what God is up to?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The sermon at <a href=\"http:\/\/madisonsquarechurch.org\/index.html\">Madison <\/a>this morning was on Romans 8:28:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\nPastor Dave talked about using <i>what<\/i> as our four-letter word of choice when bad things happen, as in, &#8220;I wonder what God is up to?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Which made me think of Jeremiah 29:11:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>&#8220;For I know the plans I have for you,&#8221; declares the LORD, &#8220;plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.&#8221;<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\nSo now I ask: I wonder what God is up to in my life?
